About Me

Pancho Villacorta: Pancho Villacorta is a mere pen name derived from the name of a neighbor's nasty dog and the name of the street where he met his eventual demise under the wheels of a truck. We're here to take potshots at the pompousness and pretentiousness of society of Philippine Society. Not that it will do any good or actually change anything.

The Worst Kind Of Advertising

The worse kind of advertising is that you over-sell and then when they come here, they experience otherwise.

What I want is when you associate the Philippines, people will forget the bad things.

(Enough for them to say) "Wow Philippines!"

I'm sorry, I'm being loyal to my slogan.

--- Dick Gordon, Former Senator, Former Department of Tourism Secretary

you don't hire an ad agency to think for you. you hire an agency to interpret it for you.

it's about doing your homework and doing it well. a good slogan does not pop out that easy.

it has to be launched with perfect timing. you consider the givens, the potentials, and your dreams in perfect harmony.

you search for your country's soul and nurture it with strength and aspirations. that's how a slogan is born.

-- Rolly Reyes, former Tourism Undersecretary
